Easy Steak Marinade

1/4 c. red wine vinegar

1/2 c. olive oil

3 cloves garlic, minced

1/4 c. fresh parsley, chopped

1/4 c. fresh basil or cilantro, chopped

1/2 tsp. hot pepper flakes

1/2 tsp. cracked black pepper

1/2 tsp. sea salt

Combine all the ingredients in a glass or ceramic dish that is big enough to hold your steaks. You can either refrigerate it overnight or marinate for a couple of hours just before cooking. It’s important to bring the steaks to room temperature before grilling or the shock in temperature change many cause the steak to become tough.

Don’t have time to prepare a recipe with a list of ingredients? In a pinch, Worcestershire sauce on its own is a great marinade for steak. If you want to kick it up a notch add some lime or lemon juice and a dash of salt and pepper.
